7 Ways to Overcome Being an Introvert and Crush Your Coaching Goals
Are you an introvert struggling to make your way and get heard in an extrovert’s world? Don’t worry. Your introversion is your biggest strength. In this GUEST POST Kirstie Santana explores 7 Ways to Overcome Being an Introvert and Crush Your Goals.
7 Ways to Overcome Being an Introvert and Crush Your Coaching Goals
If you are an introvert and wondering if you have what it takes to be a life coach, stop. You have a whole toolkit of superpowers that you probably didn’t even realize you had.
We know that introvertedness lies on a spectrum and no one single definition can possibly encompass all introverts. There is a false narrative that implies that introverts struggle with roles in leadership, and that life coaching and introvertedness are an unlikely pairing. This couldn’t be further from the truth. The characteristics that you think might hold you back are most likely the very same ones that are going to help you succeed in your life-coaching career.
Cultivate Those Listening Skills
You may not be the loudest one in the room, but you’re probably the most observant and, most likely, an excellent listener. Guess what? Being an exceptional listener is without question, the most important skill to have as a coach. You are going to be a sounding board for your clients. They are going to bring all of their concerns, hang-ups, and perceived obstacles to you, and it’s up to you to listen intently to hear what they’re saying and, more importantly, what they’re not saying.
Dive Off the Deep End
A good life coach will encourage clients to get introspective and self-reflect. A great life coach will swan dive into their client’s life and start flipping rocks to see what’s beneath. As an introvert, you spend a great deal of time reflecting on how you make your way through the world. You thrive on meaningful discussion and you’re not afraid to ask the heavy questions. Introverts often get accused of being “over-thinkers,” but it’s often just that they’re taking the time to explore an issue from various angles.
Create and Hold Space for Your Clients
How often do you think your clients feel like they are safe? Safe to express themselves? Safe to discuss difficult subjects like fear, failure or even success? Introverts are good at keeping the world at bay, and limiting the number of influences on their life. Introverts prefer quiet, calmer environments. This is an excellent coaching style. Your clients are coming to you because they’re likely at a crossroads in their life. They need to make some hard decisions, and cultivate a path to achieve their dreams. The space you make for them to navigate this journey is going to become the foundation of your client and coach relationship.
Capitalize on Your One-on-One Skills
While some life coaches may conduct their work in a group setting, that’s not necessarily a preferred way for clients. Group settings overwhelm and wear out the average introvert, meaning they’re unable to capitalize on their potential. An introverted life coach is ideal for any client who just wants that person-to-person mentorship and guidance.
Revel in the Details, it’s a Strength!
Has anyone ever commented on your obsession with detail? It often means you’re able to pick up on subtle body language and cryptic messaging, and note any avoidance behaviour. Because introverts aren’t usually the ones setting the stage or tone, they’re able to sit back, focus and observe behaviours people don’t even know they’re exhibiting. Embrace being detail-oriented and know that it’s going to make you a more effective life coach than most.
Alone Time Doesn’t Make You Antisocial - It’s Your Time to Recharge
Introverts tend to avoid large gatherings, prefer smaller and more intimate gatherings, and enjoy spending time on their own. Enjoying time to yourself doesn’t make you antisocial; it means you are enough company for yourself. As an introverted life coach, this time on your own means you can recharge, practice self-care and give yourself the space to be mindful about your coaching strategies.
Your Distaste for Small Talk is a Major Strength
Most extroverts are masterful at small talk. They often feel that gaps in conversation need to be filled with constant chatter. The problem with this is when you’re always talking, you’re not listening. And more to the point, small talk can give a client permission to perpetuate an impenetrable veneer. Introverts don’t like to waste time with irrelevant details and idle chat. When they open their mouths to speak, it’s for a purpose. Small talk has its place, and is indeed an artform, but when clients are trying to get to the root of their issues so they can make leaps and bounds in their careers and life, being able to get to the heart of things is another one of those superpowers.
Introverts have the potential to be some of the most successful and sought-after coaches. Their heightened listening skills, penchant for empathy, commitment to calm and safe spaces, and courage to dive headfirst into a client’s obstacles mean all they have to do is accept who they are, and keep on crushing those coaching goals.

3 Daily Habits to Grow a Positive Mindset
Do you want to grow a positive mindset? Learning how to incorporate mindset work as a daily habit is a powerful way to shift your thinking. In this post, I share 3 of my favourite practices to think differently. Number 1 is one I thought I would never do. Click to find out more.
3 Daily Habits to Grow a Positive Mindset
Without a doubt having the right mindset is crucial to getting what you want from life. In fact, I would say that it is a huge determining factor between success and failure.
It’s been said that success is 80% mindset and 20% strategy.
This means that you have to BELIEVE that you have the power to create the life you want BEFORE you can go about getting it.
Mindset influences your emotional, mental and physical happiness.
I’ve definitely found this to be true in my own business. Working on and expanding my mindset on a daily basis is one of the main contributors to me changing my beliefs as to what is possible for me. It’s become a non negotiable and something I feel the absence of if I happen to miss a day.
Here are some of my daily practices around mindset to help with inspiration and direction if you are struggling to create your own practice.
1. Journaling
I use my journal in several ways. Each morning, I take the time to write in my journal what I want to create for myself in my life. I write my goals as they have already been completed and with the outcome I desire already having taken place.
I then explore my belief systems around making those goals happen.
What do I believe about this goal and my ability to achieve it?
What limitations do I have around it?
What’s stopping me?
What do I believe about my ability to create success?
This is focused on identifying and understanding the negative beliefs I hold that might get in the way.
Once I’ve done this, I reframe the old belief into a new belief that supports my goal and I create an affirmation around that and commit to making this my NEW belief in that area.
At the beginning, when I first got started with journaling I used this mostly as a brain dumping exercise and to get my thoughts on paper to help me with clarity and declutter my mind.
This was great for getting into the practice of writing daily but was nowhere near as effective for actively changing my belief systems.
Asking yourself powerful questions using journaling prompts on the other hand works brilliantly for unlocking and shifting negative beliefs.
2. Gratitude
Daily gratitude is one of my most powerful practices that I use. Writing down what you are grateful for has such a bigger impact as compared to just thinking about it and I find that this works best for me.
When I first got started with gratitude, I could barely find 5 things to write down (not because there weren’t any but because my mind just wasn’t programmed that way).
Nowadays, it’s second nature for me to do this practice and I can easily fill pages and pages of things that I am grateful for. I write gratitude for EVERYTHING. Big, small and in between.
I focus on the feelings and get really specific about why I’m grateful for the specific thing e.g. So instead of just “I’m grateful for the view” this becomes I am so grateful because of how calm it makes me feel, how the strong breeze feels fresh and makes me feel re-energised and ready to tackle the rest of the day, this bench I’m sat on, put here in memory of a loved one makes me feel glad to be alive and also appreciate the gesture of love.”.
Going deeper in this way really internalises and magnifies the feelings of gratitude.
“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance. ”
3. Meditation
Meditation is one of my favourite practices. It is fantastic for quieting a busy mind. After many years in the corporate world and as a recovering perfectionist A type personality, most of my life has been lived with a very busy mind which is on constant go.
Quieting the mind was not something I did and for many years I saw this as “wasted” time. But embracing meditation has been transformational in quietening the mind.
If you are just getting started with meditation, I recommend a guided meditation so that you can focus on the words and your breath and take the focus away from the mind chatter.
You don’t need to worry about your mind being blank or not allowing thoughts in or overthinking the whole thing. Keep it as simple as focusing on the breath.
For me personally, I can’t get enough of meditation now, I fit it in when I can for however long I can Everything from 5 minutes to 50 minutes. And the big difference from now and the corporate world is that I no longer see it as wasted time but as time essential for my best productivity.
I love Gandhi’s quote
““I have so much to accomplish today, that I must meditate for 2 hours instead of 1””
Reading
Continuous personal development is a big part of my job and growth is one of my highest values and reading is something that satisfies both of those areas.
It’s been said that the average CEO reads 60 books a year whilst the average person reads 1. I can relate to this and when I was in my corporate job I read very little despite always having been a book lover.
I read a lot of books around mindset, beliefs, money mindset and spirituality and personal development and some of my favourites on these subjects I have re-read multiple times.
Check out this post for the full list of my favourites.
Whilst I can’t say, I do these practices rigidly every single day, I usually fit as much as I can most days even if some days I do an “express” version of my routine which is simply just 5 minutes of each.
I can definitely say that I notice the difference in myself on the days when I don’t do something. I feel less in flow, more out of tune with the vibrational energy of the universe and generally out of sync and that manifests in how things play out in my life and business. It’s almost like I feel a pause in the momentum.
Conversely, when I’m consistent with my practices, they are the catalyst for incredible things happening.
If you don’t have a consistent mindset practice, then I would encourage you to get started with one today. Start small, with whatever feels easiest (maybe reading 5 minutes a day or getting started with journaling) and add things as you go. Pretty soon you will notice a huge difference in how things manifest in your life.
If you’re ready to create a success mindset and want to incorporate a daily mindset routine then I have two meditations you can get started with. The Success Mindset Visualisation is a great one for moving into a more confident mindset and the Financial Abundance visualisation is great for shifting beliefs around money.

7 Tips to Create Social Media Content that Sells
Are you a new Coach posting on Social media every day but getting no traction and no ideal clients reaching out to you? In this blog post we explore 7 areas to improve to change that and to start attracting all those dream clients to you so that your efforts are not going to waste.
7 Tips to Create Social Media Content that Sells
Are you trying to grow your business on social media but getting nowhere fast?
You're writing content and trying to put something out every day but when you do it's crickets?
No one reaching out for your offer.
No one DMing you to find out more.
Not much interaction on your posts (apart from your mum and biz bestie).
And maybe the frustration is starting to kick in. Maybe you're even starting to doubt yourself a little.
I totally get that's not a nice place to be and I know you're ready to have dream clients reach out to you asking to work with you.
Here are some quick shifts to implement and make the time you are spending promoting your business more effective.
1) Stop posting just inspirational quotes. Don't get me wrong, I love inspirational quotes but on their own they are not going to get your ideal client to take action.
2) Your posts are a little generic or vanilla and don't speak to anyone in particular. If you are just putting general info in your posts that could apply to anyone then it's not going to be impactful. Think about what your ideal client needs to hear. What are they thinking? What's stopping them from moving forward in the area that you help them with?
3) Give your ideal clients quick wins and actionable info - something that will shift their mindset, that they can implement straight away, see a different perspective etc. When you can genuinely help someone make a shift in this way they will see you as an expert and will definitely appreciate it amongst all the generic advice.
4) Infuse you - No one wants to listen to an identicoach! Put your little words and phrases in there, infuse your personality, explain things only the way you can. It's your difference that makes the difference.
5) Don't be afraid to sell. In amongst all the value that you are giving don't forget to ask for the sale. Make a point to talk about your offerings on a regular and consistent basis and make some sort of call to action every day just vary up how you do it.
6) Share social proof and testimonials - if you've helped clients before then screenshot their testimonials and share to your social profiles. If you're new and you don't have them, share your own journey of transformation.
7) Have fun - this is your business that you are building. It gets to be fun. It gets to be you serving your people - infuse that energy into your posts and watch the transformation.
Selling on social media can be a fun and rewarding experience once you know how and there is no better feeling than having someone reach out to you saying "I have been following you for a while and knew I had to work with you".
I hope these tips helped you today. Take a second to identify which ones you will work on and implement.
If you are a new Coach/Online Service Provider and you want to learn more about how to sell out your offerings then take a look at current ways to work with me to find out how you can I can help you do this.

7 Copywriting Mistakes Coaches Make During Their Launches
In this GUEST POST Launch copywriter Mia Kercher from Evoke Writing offers 7 of the most common copywriting mistakes coaches are making while launching...and how to fix them.
7 Copywriting Mistakes Coaches Make During Their Launches
There are so many details to remember when you’re launching a new offer. Between the research, the marketing strategy, the copywriting, and actually designing your course or program, you need to cut through the noise and focus on the right things.
Launch copywriter Mia Kercher from Evoke Writing offers 7 of the most common copywriting mistakes coaches are making while launching...and how to fix them.
1. You Don’t Assert Your Authority in Your Content
Confidence is not just a state of mind. It’s not just how you show up on video or on a sales call. Confidence comes through 1000% in your writing, just as much as other areas of your business.
You can be assertive in your content by choosing your words carefully.
Are you using power words or weak phrases?
Are you being direct or beating around the bush?
Are you selling yourself daily?
Here are some practical ways you can assert your authority in your copywriting:
Talk about your accomplishments: don’t be afraid to humblebrag!
Speak your mind: don’t mimic the opinions of others
Use strong and empowering calls to action
Just using these 3 confidence tips will make a huge difference in your reputation with your ideal clients.
2. You Don’t Have a Unique and Recognizable Brand Voice
Just like clients will grow to know and love your face through social media posts and stories, they also need to recognize and love your style of writing.
Here are some questions a brand voice can answer:
Do you speak casually or formally?
Do you swear?
Are you blunt and straightforward or gentle and soft spoken?
Do you use simple language or fancy vocabulary words?
When you’ve taken the time to build up this consistent brand voice, your ideal clients will get excited to read your next post, email, or any other kind of content. They’ll want to hear what you have to say and they’ll be ready to listen.
I’ve created a free brand voice guide that will walk you through the steps of finding and using your own unique, confident brand voice.
3. You’re Not Targeting Your Ideal Clients Specifically
You’ve got a lot of knowledge stored away up there, but you’re not choosing the right bits to share with your audience.
I’m not saying to give away all your trade secrets. But I am saying to make sure you’re saying exactly what your ideal clients need to hear - no one else matters.
You can fill this hole by doing market research and digging deep.
4. You’re Not Channeling the Inner Voice in Your Clients’ Heads
Once you get that market research, you’re not using it for its full potential. Getting actual pain points and dreams of your ideal clients and using that exact language is the most powerful tool in the copywriter’s toolbox.
5. You Haven’t Communicated the Incredible Value You’re Offering
Lists, lists, too many lists. You’re so busy focusing on listing out all the things you do to make the transformation, that you forget to emphasize the transformation itself.
As a coach, this is especially hard because your results are often not something you can hold in your hand. As a mindset, fitness, or many other types of coach, you have to find a way to show the value of your transformation.
One way you can do that is by focusing on how your clients will feel or what their life will be like once they’re done working with you.
6. You Launched Too Quickly
You got this amazing idea. You were so excited to throw it together and get it out into the world! You couldn’t wait to see these amazing results in your clients’ lives.
But you made a very common mistake: you didn’t take the time to really warm up your audience and get them ready to see the value in your offer.
To fix this, go back and read mistakes 1-4. Analyzing these areas of your copy and really putting in the work to master these copywriting techniques will work miracles on your audience.
You’ll find them so much more enthusiastic and ready to buy your offer once they’re properly warmed up with your authentic brand voice, your confident authority, and your insightful language that speaks to their needs.
7. You’re Not Having Fun!
There’s definitely a lot to do when it comes to launching. Managing everything in addition to doing client work (and juggling family life) can be stressful. But don’t let that take the joy out of your launch.
Your audience can tell when you’re having fun and when you’re truly excited about what you’re offering. They can also tell when you’re seeing your launch as a chore and just one more thing to check off your list this month.
So have fun writing your copy.
After all, these are the words that represent your business, that represent you. Let it sparkle and reflect how much you love what you do.
If these 7 copywriting mistakes have shined some light on your launching method, follow my Instagram account @mia.copywriter for more educational content on my launch strategies and techniques.

4 Shifts To Make To Your Money Mindset To Attract More Clients In Your Online Coaching Business
Struggling to get traction in your coaching business and start attracting your ideal clients to you? Then this post shares with you 4 shifts you can make to your money mindset today to fix that.
4 Shifts to Make To Your Money Mindset to Attract More Clients In Your Online Coaching Business
There's a lot of talk in the online space about how to make money. It seems that everyone is selling their version of what's going to get you fast results whether that be sales funnels, webinars, challenges, masterclasses.
All of these are great when done well and when they are an aligned strategy to you, but what to have in place as the foundation of that?
Here are 4 shifts to attract money to you in the form of those dreamy clients.
1) Chase the Vision
“ “Chase the Vision, not the money, the money will end up following you.”
”
“Chase the Vision, not the money, the money will end up following you.”
Tony Hshieh.
Doing something just for the money is unlikely to be enough.
What's your big vision? What do you want to create in your business?
Your Why? What’s your why behind you wanting to make your business a success? What do you hope to achieve and why is that important to you?
Are you connected with it? Is your vision aligned with who you are and your life goals? Does what you want to create fit in with your life and lifestyle goals.
These are all important questions to answer.
2) You need to be more VALUABLE to the marketplace.
Your ideal client owes you nothing. You have to show up for them, bring value and become the person that they naturally see as the solution to their problem.
This means putting out the most valuable content and positioning yourself as the solution to their problem.
When you consistently show up and give value to your ideal clients is when the ideal clients will come.
How can you start being more valuable to the marketplace?
3) Get into the energy of RECEIVING.
If you don't believe that you are worthy and don't allow what's coming to you, it will be difficult for you to receive it due to self-sabotage, unworthiness or not identifying yourself as the person who deserves to have that.
Btw this was a big one for me. For a while, I had a very poor relationship with receiving. So whilst I made money I had a hard time keeping hold of it because I didn't feel as though I deserved it.
Working on this shifted a lot and it meant that money started sticking around and being in my presence more. Now it sticks around a lot more.
4) You’re a money hypocrite.
This one’s a little blunt but I’m gonna level with you.
If you’re sat around waiting for people to invest in your services but you’re not investing in yourself then don’t be surprised if money doesn’t come to you. If you call buying a £27 ebook an investment then it’s time for a rethink. I don’t know anyone who built a successful business from an ebook but I know plenty who did by investing.
It might feel like Tough Love over here but shift these and thank me later!
Tell me which you’re working on?
And if you’re ready to go ahead and get the help and support you need to make your business a reality and start working with your dream clients then go ahead and book a Business Builder call with me to find out how I can help you.
Hey, I'm Tasmin! I'm a Mindset & Business Confidence Coach for new and aspiring female entrepreneurs. I help overcome their fears and ramp up their confidence so that they can escape the corporate drudgery and create a life and business on their terms.

3 Reasons Why Your Mindset Is Stopping You From Attacting Clients
Did you know that success is 80% mindset and 20% strategy? No? Chances are if you’re not getting the results you want in your business it’s your mindset that needs looking at. Here are 3 reasons where your mindset may be costing you - even if you don’t think it is.
3 REASONS WHY YOUR MINDSET IS STOPPING YOU FROM ATTRACTING CLIENTS (EVEN IF YOU THINK IT ISN'T).
After completing thousands of hours of Mindset Coaching with many clients, I see the same things hurting people in their business that they usually aren’t even aware of and in fact, they don’t even THINK their mindset is hindering them.
1) Slow Decision Making/Overthinking.
Most of us know what we have to do. We don't always do it. Taking too long to make a decision and/or totally overthinking decisions is costing you.
When we do this we delay our goals, allow uncertainty to creep in & create inertia rather than MOMENTUM in our business. It can be something as simple as overthinking a decision to invest in that coach you know you want to work with, letting the "what ifs" get in the way, through to overthinking your message.
The fact is making decisions is a skill that you want to develop as a new entrepreneur. Slow decision making holding you back? Check out this blog to help you speed things up.
2) Giving their power away.
This is a big one. A lot of women are looking for the magic bullet, the quick fix or for someone to "save them" e.g. looking to their Coach to provide the quick fix that is going to help them build their business overnight.
Bottom line is that there is a lot of victim energy in this mindset & you don't need me to tell you it doesn't serve you.
Instead of looking to be saved, ask yourself what YOU need to do to show up as an empowered and confident CEO who takes control of her destiny & then take the strategic decision to align with the mentor who can help you with the stage of business that you are at NOW.
It's like getting the right sherpa to show you up the mountain, they are guiding you, helping you avoid the pitfalls & taking you the best route.
They are not picking you up & carrying you up the mountain which will likely finish both of you off!
3) A Poor Money Mindset
A poor money mindset is a huge obstacle for many women.
So many of us grew up with a bad "money story" and we carry that baggage with us. "Money is scarce", "money doesn't grow on trees" "debt is bad".
These stories hinder us & block the flow of money & abundance.
Money isn't good or bad. Money is energy and energy is currency. It has no meaning except that which we give it.
Shifting how you view money changes everything & allows you to become a vessel to receive it. Ready to shift your mindset around money to attract more clients and abundance to you? Read the blog post around shifting your money mindset and charging your worth.
Finally to summarise, if you're working hard in your business but not -getting the results you desire check in with your mindset and in particular the three areas above to see what needs to be addressed.
And if you're ready to shift out of the fear and limiting beliefs and move forward with purpose in your business then get in touch to book a Business Builder call with me to find out how I can help you get your business off the ground and start attracting your ideal clients to you.
Hey, I'm Tasmin! I'm a Mindset & Business Confidence Coach for new and aspiring female entrepreneurs. I help overcome their fears and ramp up their confidence so that they can escape the corporate drudgery and create a life and business on their terms.

5 Steps to Overcome Comparisonitis As An Online Entrepreneur
Comparisonitis is impossible to avoid when you are an online entrepreneur what with all the time spent on Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms that often just show the highlight reel.
Learn 5 Steps to Overcome the Comparisonitis as an online entrepreneur here.
5 STEPS TO OVERCOME COMPARISONITIS AS AN ONLINE ENTREPRENEUR
Let's talk about dealing with comparison as an online Coach.
It's so easily done right?!
After all, you're seeing all those success stories on the internet and it's making you doubt yourself and let's be honest it's triggering you a little.
You know the one's I'm talking about. Suzy superguru grew her business overnight with 6 followers on her list.
So you try and figure out what she did. After all success leaves clues right!
And before you know it you're back in comparison feeling totally inferior.
I can totally relate. I've done this a "few" times.
But let me tell you this. All that comparisonitis is not serving you. Wishing you were her is not serving you.
You don't need to reverse engineer her funnel.
You don't need to hack her marketing.
You don't need to ahem "borrow" her web copy to find out the exact words she's using.
As Theodore Roosevelt says "Comparison is the Thief of Joy".
You know that though right?
“Comparison is the thief of joy”
If despite this, the comparisonitis is getting in your way and stopping you from moving ahead with your business then consider these simple tips to help you shift out of it.
1) Don't Compare Your Chapter 1 to Someone Else's Chapter 21.
Instead compare yourself to where you were yesterday.
When you are looking around comparing your results to everyone else's you don't always know the full back story. That person might have more experience than you, they may have invested more, they may have had more support, they may have a better belief system that allows them to get them those results.
None of these things mean that you can't get there too when the time is right for you. Resist the temptation to compare with those that are way ahead of you and instead compare yourself to where YOU were yesterday.
2) Stay In Your Own Lane.
Now that you've ditched the comparisonitis with those on a different chapter. It's time to get laser focused on your own path.
What is it that you want? Why do you want to create your business?
What does YOUR dream business look like?
What do you want to create for yourself?
You see when you get clear on these things you might realise that it's very different to what someone else wants in any case.
Set SMART goals for what you want to create. SMART means Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time Bound.
Then break down your big goal into actionable steps and take the first step that will take you towards your goals.
3) Declutter Anything That Doesn't Make You Feel Good and Reduce the Consumption.
When we are working towards our goals it's important to reduce the noise so that you can move forward with focus towards your own goals.
This might mean a social media detox. Or clearing your inbox of the million and one subscriptions that you've got right now.
Consider also doing a declutter of your physical space and release anything affecting you mentally and emotionally.
Clutter is congealed energy and when you release this energy you open yourself up to possibility and create a clearer path to your goals.
Journal prompt: What do I have in my life that is not serving me right now that I need to clear?
4) See Other’s Success As Evidence of Your Possibilities.
Instead of comparing yourself to the person that you think is so much further ahead allow yourself to see her as evidence of YOUR possibilities.
Yes, the fact that someone else is doing it means it's possible for you.
It's not a threat
Or a trigger
Or something to feel bad about if you don't allow it to be.
So instead of comparing and feeling inferior shift to finding the inspiration and lessons in their stories. That's your evidence it's possible for you too.
And then focus on what makes YOU unique, stay in your own lane and serve the people you are meant to serve and watch things come together.
5) Enjoy Your Journey and Be Present For It.
So often we can want to be somewhere other than where we are now. To be further along. To reach our goals quicker but when we do this we are not honouring our own personal journey and the growth along the way.
Instead of comparing give gratitude for where you are at RIGHT now and decide to see what is great about that instead.
Take a second now to think of 5 things that you are grateful for right now - it could be something simple like a sunny day (or a rainy one), the food you have to eat, the wins that you've already achieved, clients you have already served, clarity gained. Go for it and bask in those good feelings.
Comparisonitis is inevitable but we can choose how to respond to it and not be overcome by it.

Do I need a website for my coaching biz?
If you’re a new coach or entrepreneur who is ready to launch their business, but have no idea how to get your first set of clients and you're about to go down the path of getting a website then STOP. You don't actually NEED a website to start attracting your ideal clients at the beginning. Read the post to find out more.
HOW TO GET COACHING CLIENTS WITHOUT A WEBSITE
You don’t NEED a website when starting out as a Coach and it’s more than possible to get your first clients without one.
Now I get it.
You may FEEL like you need a website to legitimise your business but the fact is in the beginning it can be a big distraction to what you should be doing - getting your name out there and attracting clients.
One of the big misconceptions a lot of new business owners have is falling into the old "build it and they will come trap".
This is especially the case with a website. So many new entrepreneurs spend hours on a site and neglect to work on the things that will actually get the clients and changing the beliefs that will stop that happening.
I know this because I was the same. For my first business (in legal recruitment) I spent an eye watering amount on a website. Ironically I didn't need it and my first five figure client in my second month of business didn't even look at my site.
And to make things worse, I didn't even continue in that business long term!
And it's true of most of my current clients. I don't think one of them looked at my site and I have helped my clients get THEIR first clients without having their website in place at the beginning.
You see, unless your site is specifically something that your niche requires (some niches do still require a website) you don't need to be wasting time and money on it. Your website isn't going to get you clients at this stage as a new Coach/Service provider.
Instead focus on the things that are getting in the way of you getting results (usually your beliefs) and work on getting the following in order.
1️⃣ Shifting into a positive mindset and creating the mindset, self-belief and identity as a successful business owner. Read my blog on the 4 business blocks that are stopping you in your business right now as a female entrepreneur and how to shift those.
2️⃣ Work your money mindset and creating the belief that money can come in ways other than you've been led to believe. Read my blog on shifting your money mindset.
3️⃣ Clarity on your ideal client (who is that specific person that will ultimately land on the site rather than writing to anyone and everyone). When you don’t have clarity around this, you are wasting your time writing copy on your site that speaks to no-one in particular. Ideal client clarity is an essential first step when starting an online coaching business. Download my free course for in depth training on this.
4️⃣ Get clear on HOW your service helps solve those struggles. How will your service help your ideal client? What is the transformation that they can expect from working with you? Take some time to get clear on this and learn how to communicate it in a way that speaks to your ideal client directly. Download my free course for in depth training on this.
5️⃣ Getting comfortable and visible as a business owner, start SELLING and not seeing that as bad, sleazy or icky in some way. Read my blog on overcoming visibility blocks in your business.
6️⃣ An aligned lead generation strategy to attract those ideal clients. What is your main way to attract your ideal clients to you? Do you have a lead generation strategy in place that works for you, your lifestyle and your personality?
7️⃣ Work with a Coach on the above to help you shift the beliefs and also create an aligned strategy. Working with a Coach on these areas is invaluable and can prevent lots of wasted time, energy and money.
And that's exactly what I help my clients with.
Not only will you start showing up as a confident CEO, eliminating all the BS and resistance that hold you back, you will know exactly how to attract your ideal clients.
No more guessing game.

How To Overcome Procrastination On Your Business Journey
Still stuck when it comes to achieving those big goals? In this blog about overcoming procrastination Tasmin shares some simple tips for overcoming procrastination so that you can get out of your own way and reach those big business goals.
HOW TO OVERCOME PROCRASTINATION ON YOUR BUSINESS JOURNEY
This week the subject of procrastination has come up a fair bit. I've spoken to ladies who have a deep desire to get going with their businesses but despite this find themselves not doing the work they know they have to do. Then beating themselves up afterwards and questioning whether they are good enough or “have what it takes”.
Procrastination is never that simple.
We KNOW what we should be doing but for some reason, we don't do it. Then from there, we can beat up on ourselves and before we know it we are putting this label on ourselves as a procrastinator which doesn't serve us. Does this sound familiar?
If that's you, then here are some tips for overcoming the procrastination so that you can finally make progress and create that business that you desire.
1) It all starts with mindset.
If you’ve been around here for any length of time you will know that I have a “mindset first” approach.
Here’s the thing, negative thoughts and procrastination go hand-in-hand.
So start with shifting the thoughts behind the procrastinaton. Begin by reframing self-deprecating, blame-filled thoughts into empowering, positive ones. Life is much easier if you’re not beating yoursef up about things all the time. So start by giving yourself a break and changing your self talk around procrastination. If your self-talk becomes positive, you will start to believe it. And after a while, as you experience the joys of successful habits, you will find yourself less inclined to procrastinate.
2) Identify what's REALLY going on for you.
Take time to assess where things are really coming from and do some introspection around why you are procrastinating.
Why do you really think you are not doing the tasks you want to do?
Why are you resisting it?
What are you afraid will or won’t happen if you do this task?
Often when you look deeper, there is some self - doubt, fears, self - limiting beliefs or a lack of a plan in place.
Once you identify why you are procrastinating ask yourself where does it come from? What would change if I overcame it? What would it mean to have the life I desire?
Often we put off the very tasks that will have the biggest impact just as we are about to have a breakthrough; actually, start that business, finally get visible etc.
Sometimes we subconsciously self - sabotage which keeps us stuck. Read Gay Hendricks book The Big Leap to learn how we can self sabotage ourselves just as things are getting good. In this book he talks about the Upper Limit problem which may shed some light on why you sabotage yourself just as things appear to be getting good.
3) Take Other Things Off Your To-Do List
Often the source of procrastination can simply be overwhelm. When faced with a mountain of tasks to work through it can lead to not doing anything. When exhaustion and overwhelm are contributing to procrastination, take other, LESS critical tasks or activities off your to-do list. Do it immediately, then take a short break – perhaps a cup of your favorite tea – and get back to the overwhelming task.
You may be surprised at how less-overwhelming it seems, giving you the impetus to move forward again without the ankle-weights of those extra tasks or confusion. Bottom line, get vigilant about the tasks on your to-do list and whether they deserve to be there.
4). Discard Perfectionism
People who are perfectionists are prone to putting things off. They become overwhelmed with the fear that they won’t produce exceptional results, but perfectionism doesn’t result in extraordinary results: Ninety-nine percent of the time, it just reduces efficiency and induces paralysis.
It’s important to realize that getting the job DONE is more important than doing it perfectly: prioritising what is important and building forward momentum is what to focus on.
If perfectionism is your problem, give yourself permission to let go a little and get it done.
5) Don’t Beat Yourself Up
One thing procrastinators are prone to doing is blaming themselves for being ‘weak.’ Drowning in guilt is a sure-fire way to invite yourself to hide.
Forgive yourself. Banish shame. Lose the guilt. And lose the label too.
Stop calling yourself a ‘procrastinator, and pinning yourself with an unwanted label’ and focus instead on moving forward (even if it's small steps). Get support and accountability to help you reach milestones on your way so that you can instead create habits and behaviours that set you up for success.
If you are routinely labelling yourself a procrastinator then that is how you will show up.
We become what we believe and we have the power to create anything we desire. Be driven by the vision of what you want to create and avoid putting yourself in an unhelpful box that is difficult for you to break out of. You are a powerful creator capable of anything. Chose the label that reflects THAT version of you.
“The dread of doing a task uses up more time and energy than doing the task itself. ”
So there you have it. If you are routinely procrastinating use these tips to help you overcome the procrastination and create better habits when it comes to getting things done.
Finally take some time to connect with your WHY and your reason for wanting to make your business a success.
What’s the reason you want to make this a business a success.
What is your big vision for it?
What impact do you want to create with your work?
Take some time to journal on these questions and really connect with your vision. Then revisit these reflections daily to be more driven towards your vision than you are focused on your fear. This is HUGE when it comes to overcoming procrastination.
If you know that you are done with the stalling, second guessing and procrastination and are ready to take tangible steps to making your business a reality and attracting your dream clients to you then go ahead and book a Business Builder call with me to find out how I can help you with the accountability and support you need on your journey.
